Mother's Day Greeting Cards
Mother’s Day cards for Mam, Mammy, Nana or the woman who has been a mother to you in every way that counts. Personalise the card with your own words and photos, and post it to anywhere in Ireland.
When is Mother’s Day in Ireland?
In Ireland, Mother’s Day is the fourth Sunday of Lent, the old Mothering Sunday, three weeks before Easter Sunday. That usually puts it in March, but because it follows Easter the date shifts from one year to the next, so check the calendar once Ash Wednesday has been and gone. America and many other countries celebrate in May instead.
A personalised Mother’s Day card that sounds like you
The card that stays on the mantelpiece after the flowers have wilted is usually the one with a bit of the family in it. Upload your own photos, like the grandchildren in their pyjamas or a snap from a summer in Kerry, and put the message in the words you would use to her face. Mammy, Mam, Mum or Ma: use whatever name she answers to. Nana deserves a Mother’s Day card of her own, and so does the mother-in-law who minds the children every Wednesday.
Sending her card
Post the card on its own, or tuck it into the parcel with something from our Mother’s Day gift ideas. If you choose a present and skip the card, a short greeting message can still be added free at checkout. For the rest of her year there are birthday cards for your mum and anniversary cards for Mum and Dad, and in June it is his turn with Father’s Day cards. The rest of the calendar is covered in our seasonal cards.
