Headline: TADHG DUNPHY IS 16 TODAY!
Sub-headline: Ireland Celebrates Birthday Bash of the Year
Story:
The long anticipated event has finally arrived. It was just after dawn this morning on Saturday 20th June 2026, that crowds started to gather outside the home of Tadhg Dunphy in Athlone. Not since Ray Houghton's goal against England in 1988, has there been so much excitement among the Irish public over this birthday celebration.
Dunphy’s success in school has been mostly down to all his hard work. School friends and teachers are united in celebrating his birthday this year.
At age two Tadhg mastered the Rubik’s cube. At age five he became a chess Grand Master. At age seven he was approached by many football clubs to join them but refused as he wanted to focus on his theories in Quantum physics.
Bono is believed to have cancelled the American leg of U2's tour to attend tonight. Other special guests will include Justin Bieber, JLS, Selena Gomez, and all the members of One Direction. 'If Tadhg is going to party, I just got to be there,' the President, Michael D. Higgins is reported to have commented.
All annual leave has been cancelled by the Gardai to provide extra security for both Dunphy and his guests. Superintendent Sean Walsh said, 'I don't need to remind everyone what happened at Tadhg’s birthday bash last year. Athlone is certainly going to rock tonight.'
Whatever is planned for tonight's party of the year, we would also like to wish Tadhg Dunphy a Happy 16 Birthday.
