With this Cinque Autoctoni edition, the Farnese winery has managed to produce a wine with an aristocratic and ambitious profile, but with an incredible chromatic and structural composure. The Cinque Autoctoni, able to deal with time solidly and to express the values of a specific territory, has led the company to confirm itself as one of the most versatile and articulated realities of the entire Abruzzo landscape.
The project, which represents the perfect essence of the company philosophy, fielded by the winery for the production of Cinque Autoctoni is truly ambitious: first, two reference territories were chosen, Puglia and Abruzzo, secondly it was tried to make a wine from the only native vines of the chosen areas, ignoring the convenient shortcuts proposed by the Bordeaux contributions.
A choice clearly weighted and weighed, but implemented for the simple fact that we wanted to enhance our wine heritage. All this led to the assembly of Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negramaro and Malvasia Nera, harmoniously and wisely dosed by Filippo Baccalaro, winemaker of Farnese. In the glass, the Cinque Autoctoni is a wine of great richness and of considerable intensity, absolute spokesman of the quality of Farnese, a cellar with staggering numbers.
TASTING NOTES Cinque Autoctoni Edition
The Cinque Autoctoni edition colors the glass of a dark but bright ruby, the scents are of excellent impact, with an intense fruity charge of blackberry and cherry, enriched with notes of aromatic herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, licorice and an intriguing mineral touch. On the palate it shows a remarkable structure, well balanced between the warm embrace dictated by the alcohol content and adequate freshness; the tannins are soft and the persistence very tenacious.
